Extracurriculars and Your Kids
The spring sports season is just around the corner, with schools and recreation centers holding tryouts and signing kids up for soccer, baseball, softball, and more. Extracurricular activities, including sports, can be effective in keeping your kids active, teaching them the value of teamwork, and perhaps just as importantly, keeping them entertained. But, participation in too many extracurricular activities can leave you scrambling to move your kids from one practice or game to the next, leaving little time for relaxation and free play. So, how much extracurricular participation is too much?
